AC-130
(Surface Preparation for Bonding)

AC-130 is a high-performance surface preparation for adhesive bonding of aluminum alloys. Data shows AC-130 performs comparatively to the grit-blast silane procedure in the wedge test. The grit- blast sol-gel process has also been shown to perform similarly on the wedge test results as when PAA (Phosphoric Acid Anodize) is applied. The process also provided acceptable wedge test results on titanium and stainless steel alloys when compared to standard controls.

BRŪ 6747-1
(Water Based Bond Primer for use with AC-130)

BRŪ 6747-1 corrosion inhibiting primer is a one part, chromate based, modified epoxy primer which contains no volatile organic components (V.O.C.).

BRŪ 6747-1 is 100% water-based and does not rely on exempt solvents to achieve its zero V.O.C. level rating. BRŪ 6747-1 exceeds all state and federal V.O.C. emission regulations for structural adhesive bonding primers and offers mechanical properties and corrosion resistance equal to that of solvent-based primer systems. BRŪ 6747-1 also provides outstanding performance with most 250°F (120°C) and 350°F (177°C) curing adhesive systems.

Wide application/processing latitude, simple processing with H.V.L.P or standard air atomizing spray equipment; and insensitive to spray booth conditions - temperatures from 65°F (18°C) to 95°F (35°C) and R.H. from 30% to 70%.

For applications which do not allow the use of chromate corrosion inhibitors, please see the Cytec Technical Bulletin for BRŪ 6747-1 non-chromate-based corrosion-inhibiting adhesive bonding primer.

AC-131
(Conversion Coating for Metal Alloys)

AC-131 is a high-performance conversion coating for applications on aluminum, nickel, and titanium alloys. This process is valid on alloys in the following forms: sheet, plate, foil, forging, and honeycomb core. The AC-131 application is applicable for parts subsequently finished with epoxy-based and polyurethane-based organic coatings.
